Conbook Submission Guidelines

Interested in submitting to our conbook, as an artist or as a business or con who would like some advertising space??  Well, you're in luck because we print your ads for free!! (cons...we appreciate a conbook ad space exchange, of course!)  Please contact us (below) to discuss sizing, but in general we ask that art for the conbook follow these specs:

  • Our conbook is half-size, so a full-page is 5.5" x 8", a half-page is 5.5" x 4" and a quarter page is 2.25" x 4"...please allow at least a quarter inch (.25") space around the edge of your ad so we can account for it...if you're doing a full page ad, please contact us if you'd like it to bleed off the edge of the page.
  • 300 dpi or higher resolution
  • tiff file is preferred, pdfs are also accepted...we do not accept jpgs, gifs, or anything we don't recognize!
  • greyscale!!

STORIES

If you would like to submit a story, we ask that you keep it short-story length (preferably between 1500-2000 words, but talk to us if you'd like it to be longer!)  Preferably a word doc, rich text format.  If you'd like to submit as a Google Doc, we can handle that too!  Submit to the same address below/above!

If you'd like to submit for our website, we also like that!  Just make sure it's a high res jpg or png file, and that it's RGB!
What can you submit for art or writing?

  • Theme related: 'Futurecamp!' is a kitchy theme playing on the idea of what the 'future' was like to the 'past!'  Or, in other words, if folks in the late 50s were imagining what a furry summer camp would be like in 2012, what would they think?  Hover canoes?  Jetpacks?  How would tennis, wall climbing, Predator vs Prey, the dance...what would it all look like? (The first fur to draw the dance like a futuristic sock hop gets a prize from Potoroo!)
  • Camp related: if it's of a furry at a summer camp it's cool! (Be Creative!  We have lots of campfire and archery pics...unless you can find a new way to approach it)

It fixes a problem where if the array of bottom blocks isn't fully filled from left to right, blocks are forced to slide to the left rather than floating in the centre of the array.
